Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-10-02 · Bryson Hill II

Your study progress belongs on your device. This policy explains the limited information needed to deliver audio, manage purchases, and answer your questions.

LanguageGo has no app accounts or advertising. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising across other apps and websites. Review history and bookmarks are stored locally; purchases and network requests involve the service providers described below.

1. Study data on your device

The app stores vocabulary progress, review ratings and dates, writing-practice results, bookmarks, placement choices, daily goals, reminder preferences, themes, and audio settings on your device. The app and its widgets share this information in a local app-group container. LanguageGo does not upload your review history, bookmarks, or placement answers to our servers.

Device or iCloud backups may include local app data according to your Apple settings. LanguageGo does not provide its own account or cloud-sync service. The browser preview also saves demo progress and preferences in your browser; these are separate from your iPhone progress.

2. Purchases and subscription status

Apple handles payment for in-app purchases. We do not receive your card number or Apple ID password. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases, restore access, and determine whether Mastery is active.

RevenueCat processes a randomly generated app user identifier, purchase and transaction information, subscription status, and technical information such as app version, platform, locale, and currency. Purchase records also support subscription reporting and analytics in RevenueCat's dashboard. The current app does not associate this identifier with a name, email address, or app account, and does not send advertising identifiers or custom customer attributes.

Purchase information may be retained by Apple, RevenueCat, and us as needed to provide access, restore purchases, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription or automatically erase those purchase records. See Apple's privacy policy and RevenueCat's policy for their practices.

3. Pronunciation audio and network requests

Some word and example-sentence recordings download from storage served by Cloudflare. A request includes the audio file's word or sentence identifier and selected voice. Like other internet requests, it exposes your IP address and ordinary connection information to the provider. The app may also prefetch recordings for upcoming cards over Wi-Fi. It does not send your complete study history with these requests.

Downloaded recordings are cached on your device. Device speech is available as a fallback. LanguageGo does not record your voice and does not ask for microphone access. Cloudflare may process operational and security logs under its own retention practices.

4. Reminders and permissions

Daily, optional evening, and weekly reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We do not upload a notification token or send remote pushes for these reminders. Notification permission is optional, and studying remains available if you decline it.

5. Website visits and support

This website uses no advertising or analytics scripts. Its hosting provider processes ordinary web-request information, including IP addresses and requested pages, to deliver and protect the site. The interactive demo uses browser storage; it does not sync study data to the app.

If you email support@languagego.app, we receive your email address and the message and attachments you choose to send. We use these to respond, troubleshoot, and keep necessary support records. Please avoid sending passwords, payment-card details, or unrelated sensitive information. Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle your request and applicable legal obligations; you may request deletion.

6. Sharing and security

We share information only for the purposes described here, with service providers that deliver purchases, hosting, audio, or support, or when legally required. We require providers processing information on our behalf to protect it consistently with this policy and applicable law. Providers may process information outside your country under their applicable safeguards. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

We use platform storage protections and encrypted network connections where data is transferred. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Your choices, retention, and deletion

There is no LanguageGo account to delete. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to object to processing, withdraw consent, request portability, or complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise applicable rights.

8. Children

LanguageGo is a general-audience study app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

9. Policy changes

We will update this page and its date when our practices change. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
